Weekend 1: Saturday, September 26, 2026

1. Trauma-Informed Training: Recognizing Trauma Responses, Supporting Nervous System Regulation, and Creating Safer Environments

  • Time: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM (3 Hours)

  • Credits: 3 CECs | Investment: $125

  • Instructors: Alyssa Schmidt (Founder & CEO, 4 Points) & Yuki Landry (Mental Health Therapist)

Every client carries their nervous system history onto the gym floor or clinic table. This course bridges the gap between movement coaching and somatic mental health.

Core Focus:

  • How trauma impacts the brain, autonomic nervous system, and movement behavior.

  • Real-time down-regulation and grounding strategies for dysregulated clients.

  • Practical modifications to coaching language, physical positioning, and cues.

  • Understanding professional scope and knowing when to make a healthcare referral.

2. Collaborative Assessment and Program Planning

  • Time: 11:15 AM – 2:15 PM (3 Hours)

  • Credits: 3 CECs | Investment: $125

Assessing a client in a single-discipline silo rarely produces lasting results. This practical workshop explores how to integrate perspectives across manual therapy, rehabilitation, and strength coaching to create cohesive, adaptable plans.

Core Focus:

  • Moving past isolated movement screens to comprehensive, whole-person intake.

  • Cross-referencing findings with allied health modalities (massage, chiropractic, physio).

  • Structuring progressive programs that balance tissue tolerance with performance goals.

  • Boosting client retention by delivering clear, collaborative care roadmaps.

3. Successful Business in the Wellness Area

  • Time: 2:30 PM – 5:00 PM (2.5 Hours)

  • Credits: 2.5 CECs | Investment: $125

  • Instructors: Alyssa Schmidt (Founder & CEO, 4 Points) & Kurtis Barnes (Founder & CEO, Barnes Capital)

Technical excellence is only half the equation—long-term sustainability requires clear financial systems and relationship-driven operations. This session cuts through generic theory to examine the honest realities of wellness entrepreneurship.

Core Focus:

  • Sustainable client acquisition and high-retention onboarding processes.

  • Financial fundamentals: understanding cash flow, pricing structures, and KPIs.

  • Client communication habits that foster trust and elevate perceived value.

  • Structuring your schedule to grow revenue without burning out.

Weekend 2: Sunday, October 25, 2026

4. Movement Hacks for Fitness Professionals: Tips from a Chiropractor

  • Time: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM (3 Hours)

  • Credits: 3 CECs | Investment: $125

When a client hits a wall in their squat depth or overhead mobility, aggressive stretching isn't always the answer. This hands-on workshop looks at functional training through a chiropractic joint-mechanics lens.

Core Focus:

  • Rapid biomechanical resets to address restricted ranges of motion immediately.

  • Differentiating between true soft-tissue shortness and protective joint restriction.

  • Positional adjustments for compound lifts (squat, hinge, press) to spare joints and improve force transfer.

  • Identifying red flags that require clinical evaluation.

5. The Hypermobile Client: Contraindications and Considerations

  • Time: 11:15 AM – 2:15 PM (3 Hours)

  • Credits: 3 CECs | Investment: $125

Hypermobile clients often instinctively gravitate toward the exact things that exacerbate their symptoms—like sinking into passive, end-range positions. This course unpacks how to safely coach and treat clients along the hypermobility spectrum.

Core Focus:

  • Clinical diagnostic criteria vs. subtle sub-clinical indicators.

  • Key contraindications: high-risk stretching, hanging on ligaments, and inappropriate loading angles.

  • Building motor control, joint stability, and mid-range isometric strength.

  • Programming strategies to reduce chronic pain and fatigue while maximizing daily function.

6. Words Matter: Strategies for a Meaningful Client Experience

  • Time: 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM (3 Hours)

  • Credits: 3 CECs | Investment: $125

The words and cues you use carry psychological weight. Without intending to, practitioners often reinforce unhelpful fitness tropes or fear-based language around pain and posture. This interactive workshop focuses on embodied learning and client agency.

Core Focus:

  • How subtle coaching cues and non-verbal communication influence client adherence and trust.

  • Dismantling exclusionary fitness culture norms and movement stigma.

  • Facilitating embodied awareness: helping clients interpret physical sensations constructively.

  • Practical simulation scenarios to refine cueing across diverse client personas.
